Mrs. Hildebrand’s World History class capped off their unit on Ancient Egypt with some special guests! Students were tasked with creating mini-lessons on topics in Ancient Egyptian history that most interested them. Mrs. Kuenstler’s fifth graders joined the World History class today and were able to learn about Ancient Egyptian agriculture, children’s lives, constellations, and mummification. The fifth graders were awesome guests and asked so many insightful questions.
We've broke 2,000! Clay City students have checked out 2,185 items from the library since August 15. These students are some terrific readers!
Clay City Scholar Bowl meet at Sandoval with Weber today - Thursday, November 14 - has been cancelled.
Today's Scholar Bowl home meet has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. This meet will be rescheduled. Clay City Scholar Bowl will still have an away meet in Sandoval tomorrow - Thursday, November 14.
A few more students have joined the AR Point Board! One student moved from the 10 point club to the 25 point club, while another moved from the 50 point club to the 75 point club! Great work, students!

What a fun Homecoming Week it has been! Dress-up days, locker wars, and challenge of the classes have all led up to tonight's main event. Coronation will begin at 6:30 in the High School gym. The dance will run from 7:00-10:00. We can't wait to see you all there!

Clay City Schools Dance Behavior Guidelines
Clay City Schools will be closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
Clay City Schools will dismiss at 12:02pm on Friday, November 8.
Career books are making their way to the classroom and library courtesy of the CTEI Grant. These materials will cover career choices and are going to kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms and the library. Students will be able to read about professions they may not even know about. Clay City is grateful for grants such as this to get materials in our students' hands!

Mrs. Klein's second graders completed a book study on Duck for President. The students had a small debate on which candidate (Farmer Brown or Duck) should be in charge of the farm! Each student was able to cast his/her vote and receive an I Voted sticker! The winner of the second grade election was... Farmer Brown!
