Students from Clay City High School are doing positive things and making a difference in their school and community. FCCLA officers participated in the Illinois FCCLA Fall Leadership Meeting held on October 25, 2023. The one-day conference was held at the Student Center on the campus of SIU in Carbondale, IL.
The students who attended the annual Fall Leadership Meeting in Carbondale had the opportunity to attend an array of workshops on current topics affecting teens. Some of the breakout sessions included were budgeting for life, exploring career pathways, the truth about energy drinks and cooking using all 5 senses. Mr. Garrett LeVault of Springfield, IL provided the keynote address. He shared that taking the risk to be a leader can be scary but the reward is worth it.

NC/CC HS Volleyball (28-9) lost to St. Anthony in the IHSA 1A St. Elmo Regional Championship Game to end their season.
