LOOKING AHEAD::: In honor of our veterans, Clay City Schools will hold a Veterans Day breakfast and assembly. All veterans and their families are invited to join the festivities on Wednesday, November 6. Breakfast will be served at 8am with the assembly to follow. To confirm your attendance, please call Clay City Schools at 618-676-1431.
In support of the annual Blue & White Game on Thursday, October 24, students are encouraged to participate in Spirit Day! Wear your blue and white gear to support Clay City!
Clay City student and NCHS baseball player Cayden Craig was selected as an NTC Honorable Mention. Congratulations Cayden!

The Halloween Costume Parade will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 1pm in the Clay City Elementary School Gymnasium. Parents are allowed to come and observe. Please take note of the costume rules for the day. Be sure to come and enjoy the fun!
Clay City Junior High Cross Country will recognize its 8th grade team members on Thursday, October 24 at 5:45pm before the JH Blue & White Basketball Game. Come out and support these students who have represented Clay City this past season!

NC/CC HS Volleyball (15-14, 3-5 NTC) lost to Oblong 2-0 (10-25 L, 22-25 L). Their next contest is Thursday 10/17 vs. Altamont 6:00pm in the NTC Tournament at St. Anthony HS.
REMINDER: Book Club will hold its first meeting tomorrow - Thursday, October 17 - in the library during high school LAP and lunch. Join us as we discuss The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes!

Next week on October 23, school picture retakes and sports pictures will be happening at Clay City Schools. Athletes, be sure to bring your uniforms and anything else you might need for your pictures. Individual photos will be in the morning and sports/team pictures will be in the afternoon. Please contact the school and/or your coach if you have any questions.

The library at Clay City Schools has had a spooky season makeover! The elementary students decorated ghosts to look like their favorite book characters. If you are in the building, check them out and see if you can guess what book characters decorate the windows and walls!
We will be organizing a group to work on the high school yearbook. Students can sign up this week in the high school office and mark how they would be able to help on the yearbook. We would like to have one or two from each grade. We will be dividing tasks next week to start our yearbook process.
Tasks: taking pictures, writing captions for pictures, helping set up pages, and organizing pictures.
